James Dalton is a master at harmonica. Last seen in Gothenburg two years ago, Dalton returns with his guitar and trusty harmonica for a new show, Vignettes. A vignette is a short story, and Dalton used the format to add a personal touch to his music. Each song inspired by or reflecting on an important time in Dalton’s life, Kaffe Kid transformed into a cozy and intimate musical experience. Simultaneously playing guitar and harmonica one minute and singing an original song the next, Dalton is a versatile performer with a unique mix of talent. Even the resident dog at Kaffe Kid wanted to join in!
Dalton is great at involving the audience in the show: it felt less like a performance and more a break around a campfire with good tunes and honest conversation. He is confident, natural and in control. He puts the audience at ease and lets his genuine personality shine through on stage. Dalton even improvised two songs on the spot inspired by suggestions from the audience.
