It’s our final artist reveal for 2026 and as the countdown to Gothenburg Fringe continues, here are six more shows to plan into your Fringe adventure on 28 August until 6 September!

NÚSTALGIA
RIVA & AGGRASOPPAR (Faroe Islands)
NÚSTALGIA (eng. NOWSTALGIA) is a new interdisciplinary theatre concert in development by RIVA created in close collaboration with the Faroese experimental music group AGGRASOPPAR. The theatre concert is based on AGGRASOPPAR’s upcoming album release with the same title.
The work unfolds in the space between utopia and dystopia, in a speculative realm we call Nústalgia – a protopian world governed not by the past or the future, but by the insistence of the present moment.
Their performance on Sunday 6 September will be a showing at the end of a residency period during Gothenburg Fringe, in the form of a theatre concert that deliberately challenges formal expectations associated with both dance performances and live music concerts. The residency is supported by the European Festivals Fund for Emerging Artists in a project run together with Cork Fringe and Fin Fringe.
22 stops

Leave the theatre behind and follow a performance through the streets of Gothenburg.
22 stops is a non-verbal walking performance that invites a small audience to slow down and experience the city differently. Athens-based performer Katerina Drakopoulou leads the group through Gothenburg, creating brief physical encounters with its streets, surfaces, textures, and hidden details.
At each stop, the everyday comes into focus: a corner becomes a frame, a pavement becomes a stage, a pause becomes an event. Rooted in Butoh-inspired dance and site-responsive performance, 22 stops reveals the quiet beauty and unexpected wonder of the city.
Created and performed by Katerina Drakopoulou, whose work has been presented in Greece and internationally, 22 stops comes to Gothenburg for the first time.
A choreography of attention shared between performer, place, and audience.
The performance takes place outdoors and involves walking at a slow pace. Comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing are recommended.
One hour. You may never see Gothenburg in quite the same way again.

Act two: THE NORMAL PROCEDURE, by Aina Wahlström
“The Normal Procedure” lingers in the space between certainty and doubt, where the familiar begins to feel unfamiliar. In the tension between familiarity and uncertainty, the work explores the unsettling moments when perception begins to falter.
It is there, in that moment of uncertainty, that I recognize myself in the unfamiliar.
