Noah Alfred Pantano, the artist behind the multi-award-winning fringe play Pup Play: A Queer Pseudo-Lecture (of sorts) will give a REAL queer lecture on post in-yer-face queer theatre. The lecture will encourage participants to consider the ethics of creating controversial theatre like Pup Play, the systemic homophobia around producing queer works, and how to apply these lessons to brave, new writing.
By the end of the lecture, participants should feel energized to engage in more theatre for social change and telling unapologetic, brutally honest, and hopeful queer stories. This lecture will include writing activities to promote telling queer stories and activism within a theatrical setting. This talk is free for all those who have purchased a ticket to Pup Play.
