Psychological warfare breaks out between two gay interracial ex-lovers, a Fallen Angel and a Painter from Earth. Where do the memories of their ‘sin’ go after death? Does God see all? And how did they fall in love to begin with?

The Angel Riots, bloody and out of love, is a piece of experimental theatre exploring the spiritual and romantic purgatory gay young people feel trapped in as they come of age under religious coercion. We follow both sides of their love story, flipping back and forth between the perspective of the Angel and the Painter, both fighting to gain the audiences' trust.
