Symbiont is a multifunctional space in the heart of Gamlestadens Fabriker! Symbiont is transforming Lejonet & Björnen's historic premises into an exciting cultural arena totalling 1100 square metres. They celebrate both fine and ugly culture and strive to be flexible for both organisers and audiences. In a city where stages for local artists are few and where narrow and experimental culture is in short supply, it is their ambition to create opportunities for this. What’s happening: Symbiont joins Gothenburg Fringe as a venue for the first time and we’re thrilled to welcome it into the fold during our 10th anniversary edition! This evolving cultural hub will host a vibrant mix of dance, theatre, and music performances, featuring both returning local artists and international guests who’ve travelled far to be part of the celebration. We’re excited to prepare this dynamic space for your Fringe experience - come and be part of Symbiont’s next chapter. Performances will take place from Sunday 31 August until Friday 5 September.
