Whether you’ve volunteered before, expressed interest, or just love the Fringe vibe this is your official invite to jump (back) in. Our volunteer community has grown and become a truly special element of the festival over the years.
Gothenburg Fringe Festival 2026 takes place from the 28 August – 6 September and we’re calling out for volunteers to help us make the festival the best it can be.
Taking place for the 11th consecutive year, Gothenburg Fringe Festival is all about embracing the weird and wonderful with performances in unique spots around our special city.
Do you want to join a diverse and international community of passionate festival organisers? As a volunteer you get to see shows for free, socialise with artists and fellow volunteers from all over the world and be part of a growing community.
Right now we are looking for people who like to get involved in the following areas:
- Venue management (Preparing the venue, helping artists, welcoming audience)
- Café/bar volunteers (Supporting venue management in selling coffee/snacks; support serving drinks/food)
- Communications (Photography, videography, media and communications)
- Tech support (Support in setting up basic tech and running easy performances)
- Building scenography (Building and setting up scenography on 26th and 27th of August for our big opening in Stora Tullhuset; both day and evening shifts available)
