Carpe Diem – seize the day, seize fear, seize doubt, seize sorrow, choose happiness. And repeat. In No News an emotional state of wanting to move forward is explored, parallel with the inability to do anything else but to hold on to what is safe and familiar, which is rooted in fear and suffering. In hopeless longing for change and serenity, states in life are emphasized, where the sensation is that nothing is possible and time stands still with impenetrable incapability. Places of waiting, places of maintaing a 'nice atmosphere' are to the brim filled with withheld anxiety and 'Live Love Laugh' and cause violent changes between wantings, obligations, wishes, currage and getting stuck.

No News is a solo piece created and performed by Hannah Karlsson. Choreographer and dancer working as a freelancer in various companies and in her own projects in Gothenburg since 10 years. She is also since the beginning of 2022 partly employed as a dancer at Danskompaniet Spinn.

Hannah is a multifaceted dancer who with cunning and comical tones move between profound seriousness and lighthearted wittiness. Some of the recurring interests in her work are patterns of human behavior, popular culture, the physicality of sports and states of waiting.
